The Luz House creates a specific Jewish community for single Jewish adults over age 45. The Luz believes a Jew is a Jew and strives to create meaningful inclusive connections through educational, religious, and social experiences. Goals toward reconnecting to Judaism outside the synagogue arena, initiating strong friendships, creating compatible dating possibilities, or establishing lifelong Jewish support serve as the Luz’ vision.
Through participation with The Luz Houses, single Jewish adults over age 45 will gain social resource to build or rebuild their Jewish community and move further along their Jewish journey with others living single lifestyles.
Unlike the common trend to focus on young single Jewish adults through 30 years of age, as they set out on the trajectory for lifelong involvement in the Jewish community, The Luz House strives to include single Jews entering into their prime over 45.
Participation within The Luz Houses will increase the likelihood of Judaic based choice, behavior and practice to shape the next life cycle event or future legacy.
Our ultimate goal is to secure communal housing for small groups of select individuals. These individuals would apply for and obtain residencies with the expectation of facilitating Jewish outreach and hosting events outside a defined synagogue setting. Through this cooperative living and hosting approach, the Jewish community at large benefits from a single Jew!
Prior to the communal home model, gatherings will rotate between varied locations.
The Luz House doesn’t differentiate – A Jew is a Jew. This viewpoint is the gateway for singles to take initiative and become stakeholders toward events and programming.
Participants do not have to consider themselves religious to participate.
Participants seek relevant, updated, and unique path to connection within a Jewish singles community.
We encourage your input and feedback as we work to support the most vibrant Jewish singles communities for you!
